The Town of Ajax requires a permit to be issued for the installation of a swimming pool, decorative pond or hot tub exceeding 0.5 meters in depth. The permit application requires a site plan drawing showing the pools location and enclosure details, and additional documentation if the property has a heritage designation, is in or near a Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) or Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) screening area, or if the roadways are unassumed by the Town.
